Echo Park Speedway is excited to announce that we will be holding the Gerard Smyth Memorial at Echo Park Speedway on Saturday, 29th and Sunday, 30th April 2023.
Gerard was a legend in speedway and sadly left behind his wife, Gail, and two daughters, Renae and Emma in 2003. Gerard was a force to be reckoned with on the speedway track and bent over backwards to help out anyone interested in speedway.Gerard was a huge influence on not only our lives but anyone who met him. His passion for the super street division, modified production division and super sedan division was second to none.
On behalf of Echo Park Speedway, we are privileged and humbled to be entrusted in holding this event for the 3rd time and remembering and honouring Gerard’s life. We are excited to bring this event to Echo Park Speedway, where Gerard raced for many years, and to the Queensland community. We look forward to holding the Gerard Smyth Memorial annually and look forward to ensuring that this event grows bigger and better each year in honour of a man that gave so much to speedway.

Sub regs for the supporting divisions will be available on nomination panel and will be emailed on finalisation of nomination. (Please Note: Subject to change pending on nominations received for the Gerard Smyth Memorial Super Street Division.)
